I’m Charles Gray, a behavioural dog trainer in Norwich
Looking for a behavioural dog trainer Norwich owners actually recommend? I work directly with you, the owner, so the changes stick long after I’ve left. I take on a small number of clients at any one time, which means every case gets my full focus and a genuinely personal service.
My approach is direct and results-driven. I’ll tell you exactly what’s happening with your dog, why it’s happening, and what needs to change — no jargon, no guesswork. Most owners see a real difference within the first session. Often within the first hour.
As a behavioural dog trainer in Norwich, I work with dogs of all breeds and ages across Norfolk. Whether your dog is showing aggression towards people or other dogs, pulling on the lead, struggling with separation anxiety, or refusing recall — these are behavioural issues with clear solutions. In most cases I can identify the root cause within minutes of arriving at your home. The changes I give you are simple, clear, and designed for anyone to implement — regardless of age or experience with dogs.

My approach
No stopwatch, just results
I don’t work to a timer. My sessions last as long as it takes to make meaningful progress — generally two to three hours, but with no set time limit. I work with you in attendance, explaining exactly what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, and what I’m looking for from your dog, so you leave confident and ready to continue the progress at home.
Most owners see improvements within the first session, often within the first hour. My methods are practical and results-driven, showing you simple, real-world techniques that fit into your day-to-day life — all in a relaxed, stress-free atmosphere for both you and your dog.
Where the training happens
Training begins in and around your home, so your dog learns in the environment where the behaviour naturally happens. If your dog’s issue involves reactivity, we’ll also work in public areas where we can safely recreate the situations that trigger the unwanted behaviour and address it in real time.
Why work with me
I only work with a small number of clients at a time
You’ll feel supported and at ease at every stage
Practical changes you can apply immediately
Years of experience in both the UK and Australia
You’re never left on your own once the session ends
